Released as part of Independent Label Week on 9th November, 2015.

Once again we have teamed up with CASSEBLANK RECORDS to release Noise-punk duo GHOST OF THE AVALANCHE's latest offering‘This Is Earth EP’ on limited edition, ‘Transparent’ 10” red vinyl.

Having honed and refined both their songwriting and live show over the last 2 years on the road with the likes of Stiff Little Fingers, Pulled Apart By Horses, The Dickies, The Damned, The 68' and The Picturebooks, the Bath-based noise makers consisting of Nick Wiltone (bass/vocals) and Miles Per-Hour (drums/vocals) entered the studio with producer Ben Findlay (Robert Plant, Peter Gabriel, Goldfrapp etc) with the aim of capturing the raw intensity of that live performance on record.

The EP finds the duo experimenting with a darker sound, developing textures within their limited setup of bass, drums and vocals to deliver their heaviest yet strangely, most pop-orientated and dynamic release to-date.

The 'This Is Earth' EP artwork was created by legendary 2000 AD/Judge Dredd artist Shaky Kane who's punk pedigree and striking individual style instantly made the band want to collaborate with him.

The band will be touring the UK heavily throughout September and October to promote the release. Dates to be announced soon.

“What a great noise – power, energy, commitment with a lyric that leaps straight to the jugular. For me this is pop songwriting at the diametric opposite end of the spectrum from Simon Cowell: fresh, vital, vigorous and huge fun, without an ounce of fat anywhere.” Tom Robinson, BBC 6 Music

"Ghost of the Avalanche are an explosion of gristled punk gnarliness. Armed with only a bass and a stripped down drum set this is how Death From Above 1979 would sound if they were raised on old Clash records. It’s fast, sweaty and delivered with love for raw, snot-nosed punk." Bristol Live Magazine
